Ce courrier envoyé de la Mission Catholique de Panshan est philatélique mais, est un superbe et très rare Premier jour comme l’indique le cachet rouge « FIRST DAY COVER ». Nous avons aussi, sur ce pli, trois types de calendrier :

1) Dans l’oblitération de Panshan, calendrier mandchou « Daido, 1ère année, 7ème mois, 26ème jour » se lisant de droite à gauche.

2) Au recto et au verso de l’enveloppe, un cachet bleu vertical en calendrier de République de Chine « 21ème année, 7ème mois, 26ème jour ». Cette marque ne signifie pas que ce courrier a transité par la Chine car il indique, lui aussi, 26 juillet. Il est probable qu’il fut appliqué par le bureau de Panshan qui possédait encore ce matériel.

3) Au dos de l’enveloppe, l’oblitération de New York en calendrier grégorien.

This mail sent from the Catholic Mission of Panshan is philatelic but, is a superb and very rare First Day as the red stamp "FIRST DAY COVER" indicates. We also have, on this fold, three types of calendar:

1) In the Panshan cancellation, Manchu calendar "Daido, 1st year, 7th month, 26th day" reading from right to left.

2) On the front and back of the cover, a blue vertical calendar stamp of Republic of China "21st year, 7th month, 26th day". This mark does not mean that this mail passed through China because it also indicates July 26th. It is likely that it was applied by the Panshan office which still had this material.

3) On the back of the cover, the New York cancellation in Gregorian calendar.
