LETTRE
9 juillet 1942 -
–
July 9th, 1942 -

This form comprises ten boxes in which the saver must stick ten 10 fen stamps to total 1 yuan. This sum represents the minimum payment required to open an account.
In this case, the saver used two strips of five stamps which were cancelled at once on July 8th, 1942 in Chichinho (濟 沁 河 ) (1). This clearly indicates that the investment was not split. The form was deposited at the Harbin office three days later. Probably the saver's place of residence, and his account is credited.
This is an exceptionally rare document, as the postal administration normally destroyed these forms after crediting the saver's account.
